Artist: A.D. Hogan

I am a painter living in Eau Claire, WI with my wife and family. My studio is based out of our home. My work is represented locally at Two Roots Gallery, at art fairs across the United States, and online. I work in two mediums: reclaimed wood mosaics and heavy body acrylic paintings.

My paintings are all heavy body acrylic on canvas. Each brush stroke is visible and embraces the impasto style of French impressionism. This style creates a stained glass effect that mirrors my mosaics.

Art is a powerful medium for storytelling. Every good story embraces the restoration of what should otherwise be lost. Art can anchor us to those transcendental values of goodness, beauty, and truth found right here on the earth around us

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

The first National Park print I order from A.D. Hogan was Glacier. Then I went back and got 6 more, and signed up for the National Parks Collectors Club. I love the way his art makes our house feel. - Samatha L.  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I saw A.D.'s work at an art fair in Chicago. Now we have an entire collage wall of his prints for all the National Parks we have been to. - Johnny F. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’m completely mesmerized by the impasto technique. The thick layers of paint bring the landscape to life, and the astronaut adds such a surreal touch. My painting of Zion National Park feels both familiar and dreamlike—it’s breathtaking. - Thomas B. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I was drawn to the artist’s work because of the unique blend of surrealism and nature. The impasto technique adds such a tactile, engaging quality. My Joshua Tree astronaut painting brings a sense of wonder to my home—highly recommended! - Sarah L . ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
